I really enjoyed my stay at hôtel Darcet. It is a good hotel for travellers seeking rooms at an affordable price and in a good location unless they are interested in amenities. The room was comfortable for 1 person (even for 2 provided they get along in a medium-sized room). The size of the bathroom was OK. Soap was provided by the hotel. The room was clean and the staff entered the room on a daily basis to tidy up and throw trash away. The bed was comfortable. The room also included a medium window, without good view however, but much light entered the room. The hotel staff was nice, friendly and helpful. When I asked for a cab to the airport, they arranged one with a professional driver. The reception is open all day and an employee guards the hotel door. Moreover, a small garden is available for clients to sit as well as a medium-sized room with tables, where coffee is offered for free (decent coffee machine). The location is very central, close to 2 metro lines (100 metres). The historical center of Paris can be reached at approximately 15-30 minutes depending on where you are going (Eiffel 20-25 minutes, Latin Quarter 30 minutes, Arts-et-Metier 15-20 minutes, CDG 60-80 minutes). Nearby the hotel there are various bars/restaurants and people out until late, therefore I felt safe in this area. Note that the hotel is near Pigalle (10 min walking). This may disturb conservative people. However, I enjoyed this interesting side of Paris and the area also seemed safe. P.S. I think that the photographs in Booking terribly underestimate the hotel. In Booking, the hotel looks old and ugly. The only reason I booked it was because of the affordable price and the good reviews. However, I was surprised to see a rather modern and very beautiful hotel. Indicatively, Google Maps includes several photos contributed by clients that are more representive of the hotel. I highly suggest that the hotel manager put more effort on improving the photos in Booking.

I really enjoyed the stay at this hotel. In particular 1) I have appreciated that on my arrival, at 10 am, after a long bus trip, I could enter my room! It's the first time that I could enter the room with so large advance with respect to check-in time 2) The hotel provides a shared room with a free machine for hot drinks (coffe, milk, etc); you can buy sweets at the boulangerie in front of the hotel. 3) The hotel is in a quiet street close to Montparnasse. Nearby there are lots of shops, a metro station and other bus stops. During my stay (end of June), I mainly used Lime shared bikes. With respect to public transportation, moving with electric bikes is faster and more funny (and more or less at the same cost). 4) The reception is open 24 hours; the staff is very kind. 5) My room was perfect, with independent and quiet AC

The hotel left only positive impressions. The room was clean and cozy, which made our stay very comfortable. The location is very convenient — just a 5-minute walk from the metro and bus stops, making it easy to access all the main attractions. On the first floor, free coffee and tea are available 24/7 — a nice touch for guests. The staff was very polite and friendly, always ready to help. The area around the hotel feels safe and quiet in the evening, which is also important for a relaxing stay. Overall, it’s a great choice for tourists who want to enjoy Paris!

Just as all the reviews said, spotless with lovely staff. Very comfortable beds. A double room is quite small for two but it's Paris and all hotel rooms are small. Staff friendly and helpful. Loved the cafe area downstairs and the access to a fridge. No-one takes anything so your food water etc. is safe. Brilliant and quiet location 5 mins from Place de Clichy 25 mins bus to Marché aux Puces and a 20 minute walk to Galeries Lafayette. Buses are great and frequent to the area and sometimes faster than the metro. Really enjoyed it would highly recommend.

Hotel Darcet is in a great location, very close to Place de Clichy metro station. The hotel is clean throughout, the staff were all pleasant and our room was very comfortable. There are great cafes and bars in the area (we recommend Land and Monkeys for pastries, Cyrano for wine!), and it takes 30 minutes max to get to Gare du Nord by metro. We stayed in Paris for three days and Hotel Darcet was perfect for us!
